How do I get a Wolverine Access Account? Go to Wolverine Access > Students tab > New & Prospective Student Center. On the authentication page, you will need a Friend (or guest) Account ID or a U-M uniqname to log in. To get a Friend Account ID, select “Create one now” on the authentication page.

What GPA do you need to get into University of Michigan? Applicants require exceptionally good grades to get into Michigan. The average high school GPA of the admitted freshman class at University of Michigan was 3.87 on the 4.0 scale indicating that primarily A- students are accepted and ultimately attend.
Your uniqname is your personal University of Michigan identifier, and is the basis for all login access. Along with your passwords, it authorizes or "authenticates" you to many University systems in Dearborn and Ann Arbor. It is also part of your email address (uniqname@umich.edu).

In reality, U-M is the least expensive public university in the state for poor students. The program guarantees free tuition to in-state students from families with an annual income of under $65,000. In essence, half of Michigan's families can send their kids to U-M tuition-free if they are accepted.

Moll's list of the Public Ivies consisted of 15 schools, including William & Mary, UC Berkeley, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Michigan, UCLA, and the University of Virginia.
While U of M generally receives higher rankings, it also has a much lower acceptance rate. With its higher acceptance rate, MSU may be a better choice for those who want to study at a tier-one school but do not have the grades to enter an exclusive institution.
