Q: What is MISTAR ParentPortal? MISTAR ParentPortal is an informational resource made available to every family at no cost. This resource provides real-time information about your child's grades and attendance, class schedule and immunization records. MISTAR ParentPortal provides a safe, secure and easy access to your child's school record.
For students in 5th – 12th grade, teachers can elect to use MISTAR ParentPortal to convey a student’s progress to parents. After logging in, select a student and on the left hand side is a tab called “Assignments”. Parents can also view progress reports and report cards using the “Marks” tab.
To protect the privacy of individual students, CEPI uses data suppression rules whenever report settings would yield fewer than 10 students in a given group. Secure users can log in to view unsuppressed data for their authorized location.
Student Academic Growth 3-8: The Michigan Department of Education calculates student growth using the Student Growth Percentile. SGP groups students with a similar score history in a given subject and compares their performance on the most recent test. The dashboard reports the average SGP for the combination all students and all subjects tested in grades 3-8.

The Central Square School District uses a parent grade portal called School Tool. School Tool allows password protected online access of student grades and assignments. At the elementary school level, School Tool allows access to student data information and attendance information. You only need 1 log in to view information for all your students across grade levels, once the portal is open for those students.
