What is the parent portal and how does it work?

MSU’s Parent Portal will connect students’ myState Banner accounts to their families. Class Schedules, course progress, class attendance, account information, financial aid, meal plan and campus resources are available to view on the Parent Portal. *Parents will not be able to access this until your student grants you permission.

How do I grant access to my parent/guardian's education records?

By the student providing an email address of the parent/guardian, the student is authorizing Mississippi State University to grant access to education records to the parent/guardian through the University's Parent Portal online system.

How do I Change my Password in the parent portal?

Enter your Parent Portal User ID (email address) and the password that you previously created. The password should never be shared. All pages are personal and confidential. How to pay MSU Quikpay?

1. Student should log in to their MSU myState portal and locate the Account Info section or Personal Info section in the Banner tab. 2. Select: “View and Pay Your Account (may need to allow pop-ups) ” - - - Student will then be redirected to the MSU QuikPAY® payment screen with the MSSTATE logo. 3. Select "Make Payment" and input payment amount.

What is an eCheck at MSU?

eChecks: eChecks are MSU's preferred payment method and are accepted online with no service fee. eChecks are a fast and simple payment method that can be made from regular U.S. checking and savings accounts.

Does MSU accept Visa?

MSU has arranged for a third-party processor to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express payments online through QuikPAY. The processor charges a 2.7% service fee for credit and debit card payments.

Can a student save credit card information?

Student/Payer can save a profile of their credit card and e-check information for future use if they want to. This is not mandatory, but convenient when using the same credit card or bank account to make future payments.
