What do MOC students learn?

Students learn through experiences both inside and outside the classroom, and work with counselors to develop tailored programs for educational and career opportunities. Part of this experience is a full range of extra-curricular activities that build on the middle school experiences or offer new opportunities. These include athletics, the arts, band, speech, yearbook, FFA, and National Honor Society.

What is the MOC-Floyd Valley Middle School?

At the MOC-Floyd Valley Middle School, caring faculty teams and an emphasis on self-discovery help students understand and adapt to the unique physical and emotional challenges they face on a daily basis. While continuing to build on the strong academic foundation begun at the elementary level, the middle school encourages students to discover new talents and interest areas. Eighteen different cultural and career-focused programs, such as the fine arts, literature, and technology complement the fourteen co-curricular activities, including athletics, orchestra, chorus, and My Choice. And all students participate in the STAR advisory program to help build self-esteem and develop healthy relationships.

The district wasn’t actively seeking a new student information system (SIS), but when they learned several other area districts were moving to Infinite Campus, they decided to explore their options.
