How do I find a student or a parent MTAC account?

If you are looking to find a student or a parent account for the state MTAC programs such as CM, VOCE, and CT, please go to the state MTAC website at new.mtac.org. The MTAC San Diego Branch member teachers each have a personal account with an assigned username and a password on this website.

What programs do students have access to at MTAC?

Your students have access to MTAC student programs, including Certificate of Merit, VOCE, Piano Concerto/Solo Competition, Improvisation, and Composers Today. Click a program below to learn more or apply now.

What is the MTAC Association?

The Music Teachers’ Association of California® Foundation, established in 1989 as the philanthropic arm of the MTAC Association, is a California based 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization Chutaphin received a Bachelor of Music Education in Thailand and a Master of Arts in Piano Pedagogy from San Diego State University.

VOCE Recital

VOCE is a prestigious competition for vocalists, strings, winds/brass, and chamber music. The program is named for Vocalists, Orchestral instrumentalists, and Chamber Ensembles. This recital is a collection of performances from first place winners of the State Finals competition.

Piano Concerto Competition

The MTAC Piano Concerto Competition gives students a chance to thrive at what they do best. The students competing in this event are the first place winners from the Regional Competition held this past spring in both Northern and Southern California. The finalists perform a concerto movement before a panel of judges in a highly competitive setting.

Young Artist Guild Recital

The Young Artist Guild (YAG) represents the most gifted musicians in the Certificate of Merit® program. Acceptance to YAG is one of the highest honors for Certificate of Merit® students. Students are granted membership in the Guild for five years upon recommendation by a panel of adjudicators.

Keynote Address by the Honorable Dr. Condoleezza Rice

Dr. Condoleezza Rice is a professor of Political Economy in the Graduate School of Business, the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution, and a professor of Political Science at Stanford University. From January 2005-2009, Dr. Rice served as the 66th Secretary of State of the United States.
