This is a monthly school newsletter created from our Family Engagement coordinator to help new and returning families get involved with NCVA. It contains tips/tricks for learning coaches, lists upcoming events, and a spotlight on all NCVA news.
K12 Tech Support offers assistance when it comes to fixing equipment issues (laptop, audio headsets, printer, etc..), changing LC passwords, correcting errors or issues found in the OLS, and missing materials.
NC Virtual is a proud home to some of the most innovative, caring, and dedicated teachers in North Carolina. In addition to being exceptional teachers in the traditional classroom, NC Virtual teachers are also highly skilled online learning instructors.
NC Virtual serves students from public, private, charter, and homeschools. We are part of the NC Department of Public Instruction and are a supplemental program. Since we don’t grant diplomas, parents will need to partner with their local school district or choose to homeschool.
As virtual learning has become a part of everyday learning for most families across North Carolina, many parents, guardians, and mentors continue to struggle with how to support their online learners in blended and online classes.
To truly prepare our students to reach the NC Standard Course of Study goal of being college and career ready, we teach the student not just the subject. We use a well-developed, systematic approach to teaching and learning. We are student-centered in our teaching and course-design models, and it drives everything we do.

You are now applying for admission during the open enrollment window. Open enrollment will be from March 1st, 2021 through April 15th, 2021. NCVA has a capacity of 2592 students in grades K-12 for the upcoming school year.
Upon conclusion of a lottery, all applying families must complete an official registration within the NCVA parent portal within 10 days. Families not completing the parent portal registration during that window may surrender their position.
