We are pleased to announce Dr. Todd Schuetz will serve as NKC Schools’ new assistant superintendent for human resources. NKC Schools is home to 21,000 students and counting! As we grow, new facilities, upgrades and additional support are needed.
Follow these steps to complete registration: 1 If you already have a parent account created, follow the link in the Parent Portal to complete the registration process. 2 If you do not have a parent portal account already created. Click here for directions on how to create your account in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. You must first receive your parent access letter from your student’s building to create an account in Parent Portal to complete the registration process.
Registration is now open for families returning to NKC Schools for the 2021-2022 school year! This includes all students who attended NKC Schools sites during the previous 2020-2021 school year, including most early education programs.
View your child’s bus stop information, pick-up and drop-off times in the Parent Portal. Simply log in and click the Transportation tab on the left.
All NKC Schools families (new and returning) are required to complete the enrollment and registration process each year. Enrollment for new and returning families is open. See all information here.
NKC Schools students use a variety of technology tools to support learning across all grades. All parents and guardians are encouraged to create a Parent Observer account on Canvas, our online learning management system. A parent observer account allows you to view your child's progress, assignments and other information.
The waiver which allowed NKC Schools to provide free meals for all students last year has been extended through the entire 2021-2022 school year! Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided free of charge at all of our buildings. Families are still strongly encouraged to apply for the free/reduced price meals program.

North Kansas City Hospital offers patients convenient, secure access to medical information online. You can view portions of your personal health record and share with your physicians. This complimentary service provides better communication between patients, physicians and our hospital.
To have been a patient at North Kansas City Hospital. You cannot activate an account until you have visited one of the designated hospital departments with a photo id and been given an activation access code.
Access your personal health record whenever and wherever you need it. Meritas Health uses advanced technology to securely store your health data. To sign up, contact your physician’s office and provide your personal email address to become web-enabled.

We participate with most major insurance plans including Medicare. If you have questions, please contact your insurance company to verify benefit coverage and health plan participation. We’ll be glad to process your insurance claim for payment.
We've provided a list of community resources to help our patients who are uninsured or seek assistance with mental health, drug/alcohol abuse, and smoking cessation programs. The list also includes information on healthy eating, weight loss and exercise.
