The Parent Portal is a part of Online Scout Manager (OSM) which is used by most Scout Groups in the UK. The system has been designed from the start to be as secure as possible – and uses the same encryption and security methods as major banks and other secure websites.
The Parent Portal gives you access to: A list of upcoming events and the ability to indicate attendance The badge status for their your child along with an image indicating where they should be sewn onto the uniform Review a list of emails that you should have already received The ability to make a Gift Aid declaration (when requested via email)

OSM Parent Portal allows parents to view the current term's programme, view and edit personal details, track badge progress, view emails sent from OSM, communicate between parents and leaders, and even signing up for events. Please note that not all features will be available and may depend on the section you are with.
To invite to OSM, use 'Special content/mail merge' to pick one of the templates. This will send an email to parents/carers with their unique private link, giving them access to OSM.
Great news for Android users! We're happy to announce the new 4.1 OsmAnd release for Android devices (Google Play).
Seconder Stripe This badge is awarded to a cub who has been promoted to seconder Worn on the upper right arm below the district/country badge.
This page shows you where your badges should be placed on your Scout uniform. Notes: Badges on sleeves should be centred on the outside of the sleeve, not facing forwards as the diagram suggests. For Staged Activity badges, only the highest level award for each activity should be worn.
Click Leader Access in the Section Settings menu on the left. Enter the email address of the person you want to add in the box and click Add New User – if they already have an OSM account they will simply appear on your permission list; if not you need to enter their name.
If you wish to invite your friends to play Top Eleven, you can do it by sending invites. This option is available on the Home screen, when you swipe left and allows you to send invitations to your friends via different platforms.
Remember you can invite your friends to play Top Eleven and find all the ones who already joined the game by going to the third tab of the "Friends" screen (mobile device) or to the "Invite" tab (web browser).
OpenStreetMap is a free, editable map of the whole world that is being built by volunteers largely from scratch and released with an open-content license. The OpenStreetMap License allows free (or almost free) access to our map images and all of our underlying map data.
OpenStreetMap is used by people all over the world – individuals, volunteers, companies, nonprofits, governments, organizations and more.
Printing or exporting a map The most basic way to use OpenStreetMap offline is to export an image or PDF of an area and optionally print it out.
The OSM Parent Portal is the parental front end to the online administration system that the Fforestfach Scout Group uses to reduce the time leaders have to spend on administration tasks. It allows you access to more information about your child’s Scouting and means that all of the information you need about activities or events is secure and accessible at any time.
The Parent Portal allows you to link the Programme and Events to your Google Calendar or iCal. This automatically places these events on your calendar. You will see in the Programme and Events a button “Get programme calendar feed” and “Get events calendar feed”, click these to get the link.
The first screen you will see when logging in will be the Dashboard, this will show an overview of your Childrens activities coming up in the next few weeks with meetings and events.
When clicking on your Childs name it will show some more menu options, the first of which is the Noticeboard – we can use this to show messages about updates from Leaders etc so please check this screen from time to time when visiting.
We are currently working on this feature and this option will be released soon.
The events section will contain details for all the camps and trips which are organised throughout the term.
We always have a very exciting range of activities planned for each section every term.
Here you can track the progress of your childs badge work through scouting.
