Students should provide Student Accounts Office the sponsorship letter from the third party that will pay their bill. The letter can be emailed to SponsoredBilling @pace.edu
If you fail to furnish your correct SSN or ITIN to Pace University, you are subject to a penalty of $50 imposed by the IRS unless your failure is due to reasonable cause and not to willful neglect. Periodic reviews will be done by the University to check for students without SSNs on file. Those students will be sent requests to submit SSN information by completing Pace Substitute W-9S Form, Request for Student's or Borrower's Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification.
The amount reported in Box 5 includes all grants, scholarships administered and processed by Pace University's Financial Aid Office, as well as waivers and payments received by the university from governmental agencies for VA, ROTC, or other similar benefits in the calendar year. In addition, the scholarship and grant amounts reported in Box 5 may include scholarship amounts for room and board, which may not need to be considered when calculating education tax credits or deductions..
Sponsored students are those whose educations at Pace University are funded directly by a third party, called a sponsor.
See the instructions below. By law, Pace University is required to furnish form 1098-T each tax year to enrolled students who are US citizens or permanent residents. The Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997 (TRA97) established education tax credits for taxpayers.
Students who pay Pace University first and are subsequently reimbursed by their employers do not fall under third-party, sponsored-billing. Students who receive reimbursement upon submission of grades or completion of sponsor terms must adhere to the University's established payment due dates.
Student billing is on a semester-basis. Billing statements as of print date are emailed to students' Pace-issued email accounts. Up-to-date account and billing details are available in the Payment Portal . Please note: Students are responsible for all charges, whether or not a University bill is received. Updated semester charges and payments/financial aid/credits are available through the My Account/Account Activity menu option in the Payment Portal.

This username and password will be used for all your Pace accounts including the Portal, Email, Blackboard, Web File System, and ITS Helpdesk—so make it a strong one! Any future password changes will apply to all of these accounts.

All full-time undergraduate and graduate domestic and international students must have health insurance. These students will automatically be enrolled in the school accident/sickness plan when they register.
If a student has their own other health insurance coverage (i.e. under a parent’s or employer’s plan) and does not want to be enrolled and billed for the University’s health insurance plan, then a health insurance waiver must be completed by the designated deadline.
