Brenham ISD Names Brenham High School Principal BRENHAM, TX - MONDAY, November 15, 2021 Tonight, the Brenham ISD Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Ms. Jennifer Griffin as the next Principal for Brenham High School. Ms. Griffin will assume the new leadership role at the start of the second semester. "Ms. Griffin impressed the committee with her energy, enthusiasm, and her knowledge of structures, processes, and procedures. One committee member described her as a doer. We are excited to have Ms. Griffin join Cub Nation and lead Brenham High School into the future, said Dr. Tylor Chaplin, Superintendent of Brenham ISD. While with Montgomery ISD, Griffin served as assistant principal at Montgomery High School and the At Risk Coordinator. She developed a comprehensive At-Risk program including a mentoring component for students. Ms. Griffin introduced an RTI program that focused on interventions for students struggling in Math and Reading. She expanded the CTE courses and increased opportunities for students to earn Industry-Based Certifications. I am so humbled and excited for the opportunity to be the next leader of Brenham High School. I cannot wait to get to know the students, teachers, staff, parents, and community. Brenham ISD is aware of the threatening message that has been circulating on social media against Brenham Junior High school. The Brenham Police Department have investigated the threat and found this to be a copy of a hoax that originated in Georgia utilizing the exact language. The Brenham ISD community thanks the Brenham Police Department for their swift response. The BISD and the Brenham PD do not believe this to be a credible threat. However, out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at the Brenham ISD schools.
