What is the MISTAR Parent Portal?

Parents can utilize the MiStar Parent Portal to get a peek into their child's daily school life. This Portal helps parents become familiar with classroom routines, view their child's grades, pay for school lunches, and get a general idea of where their child stands academically. Is the parentconnection/portal data page live?

Data viewed in ParentConnection/Portal is “live”, however; it may be updated in real time by the school while you are viewing data therefore, new data posted during a session will not be visible to the user until the data page is refreshed. There are three ways to refresh a data page.

How do I connect to parent connection?

Follow the instructions below. From a computer with Internet access, open the web browser, (i.e.: Internet Explorer), and type the following in the address box. Note: AOL users must open Internet Explorer in a separate window. Parent Connection will NOT open while using the AOL browser.

How do parents get access to the interactive games?

Parents can create their own log-in account and will have access to all the same interactive games that the teacher created accounts have. Look on the inside cover of the vocabulary book to get the appropriate code.

How old do you have to be to use MyChart?

Any patient over the age of 18 can sign up for their own MyChart account. Parents (or guardians) can request proxy access that allows them to log in to their personal MyChart account and connect to information regarding their family member. View the tip sheets on how to set up proxy access in your MyChart account.

How to activate MyChart?

Log on to MyChart, click sign up now and request an activation code (please note that online requests can take up to a week to process).
