Portal has been replaced with a new parent portal application called ParentVUE. To access ParentVUE, parents will need to activate a new parent portal account. In order to activate your account, MCPS parents will receive an account activation letter that includes a unique Activation Key or URL necessary for setting up a ParentVUE account.
To access grades in the Portal click on the “View Complete Record” link under the student's name, this will take you to the student record. Once in the student record scroll down until you see a list of tabs. Click on the “Gradebook” tab to view grades.

PowerSchool offers a Parent Single Sign-On to the Parent Portal where parents can have access to all of their children's information in one place in one account.
The new Student Portal URL is aspen.cps.edu and you will use your CPS username and password. If you want a look at Aspen, feel free to logon and try it!
The + icon in the More column can display extra information about the course, including the course number and teacher, whether the course counts in the GPA, and, if applicable, the source school for transferred-in grades.

Answer: They are labels for different types of grades and terms and are sometimes specific to schools. Generally S1 and S2 represent final grades for Semesters 1 and 2. E1 represents Final Exam for Semester 1. Q1, Q2, etc represent individual marking period grades that fall within the semesters.
Semester 1S1 stands for Semester 1. S1 is the average grade of Quarters 1 and 2.

You can invite other adults—like relatives or a tutor—to see information about your child on NYCSA. Some of the information on NYCSA is private, so be careful about who you invite.
Custodial users can see all information available about a child in your NYCSA account. Parents have this level when they register an account. Noncustodial users can only see part of the information available. Additional users can only see information the custodial user lets you see.
