What is LVISD’s community and Family Partnership Program?

As we continue to grow community and family partnerships, LVISD would like to create a repository of parents, community members, and business owners who are interested in serving on district and campus level committees to ensure that we are involving interested stakeholders and getting input from our community.

How do I purchase tickets for LVISD home athletic events?

Tickets for all LVISD Home Athletic Events can now be purchased via the "Online Event Ticket Sales" link located on the Athletics Department Webpage. Please visit the LVISD Athletics Department Webpage for all the details.

How do I become a volunteer for La Porte ISD?

Completion of the online volunteer application at www.lpisd.org will serve as written intent to serve as a volunteer at a designated La Porte ISD campus and a release to conduct a criminal background information check. Criminal information obtained is confidential and used only for the purpose of ensuring student safety.

What is the title I Parent Involvement Program?

All Title I parents will be invited and encouraged to attend the annual meeting. Involve parents in an organized, ongoing, and timely way, in the planning, review, and improvement of Title I programs at campus meetings and DEIC, as well as input into the CIPS and the DIP at least 4 times a year. (Early Fall/ Mid -Winter/ Mid –Spring/Early Summer)

What is open enrollment in La Porte ISD?

Open enrollment is for students who do not live in La Porte ISD but wish to attend our schools. To apply for open enrollment, please follow the link provided below and complete the form. (Instructions for submitting the application are on page 4.)

Who is involved in campus plan development?

Participants in the plan development will include: parents, teachers, administrators, and community members. Campuses are encouraged to involve students in the plan development as appropriate.

What is the purpose of training and supporting parents?

Train and support parents to enhance the involvement of other parents.

When to distribute parent and family engagement policy?

Distribute the campus Parent and Family Engagement Policy to the parents of participating children at the beginning of each school year or as students enter the program.

Does La Porte ISD have criminal records?

In accordance with the Texas Education Code, Section 22.083, La Porte ISD may obtain criminal history record information on an individual who has indicated, in writing, an intention to serve as a volunteer.
