What is the San José Unified parent/student handbook?

The San José Unified Parent/Student Handbook is designed to help students and families understand the board policies, California laws, and school district procedures that ensure students have every opportunity to succeed in a safe learning environment.

What is the PowerSchool portal?

Powerschool is the Student Information System used by the St. James-Assiniboia School Division. PowerSchool is used for tracking marks, attendance, and student information. Why is San José Unified School District asking for income information?

San José Unified needs household income information from families to maintain eligibility for supplemental state and federal funding. Our schools qualify for approximately $25 million in supplemental funding based on household income information. Each household will receive a unique link by email to complete the online form.

What is it?

This application allows you to view your student's attendance and grades in a real-time atmosphere. You will be able to view your student's current information as well as information from previous marking periods as we go through the school year.

Logging In

You will be given login information at back-to-school night - If you were not able to pick it up at that time, please call your school secretary or the guidance office.
