We are pleased to inform you that West Ottawa Food Service will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the School Year 2021-2022. The GREAT NEWS is that ALL students enrolled at our school can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day.
Access to the Parent Portal can be gained from home, work, public library, or anywhere an internet connection can be established. The Parent Portal is a free service to our district families.

West Ottawa Public Schools offers both Prekindergarten and Kindergarten programs for children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2021 for the 2021-22 school year.
Parental involvement is a highly valued component to a well-rounded educational experience for students. At West Ottawa Public Schools parents can plug into their child’s education in many ways. We offer volunteer outreach opportunities, parent advisory boards, and extracurricular activities as a few ways to get involved! We encourage you to connect with your child’s teacher and principal to learn how you can become involved to help prepare all children to become college, career, and life ready!

Enrollment packets for 2021-2022 WOW preschool programs will be available online beginning January 26, 2021, and will be accepted until February 12, 2021. Applications for GSRP can be completed online through Help Me Grow Ottawa.
Online registration for the 2021-22 school year is now open. Please complete our online registration and select “21-22 Next School Year” from the drop-down menu when asked to select the school year for which you are enrolling.

West Ottawa Public Schools is pleased to offer a new virtual learning option called West Ottawa Virtual Academy beginning fall 2021. WOVA will be a blended virtual school providing a customized experience for families selecting the online learning environment. WOVA students will also be able to participate in face to face music courses, district extracurricular activities, and athletics. Breakfast and lunch is available at each school. We work hard to offer a variety of options to choose from. We look forward to serving you!
If you have a secondary student, you will also find that you can add funds to your students lunch account using E-funds.

West Ottawa Public Schools has implemented a new menu system that shows detailed information for the meals we serve, including nutrition and allergen information. Please bear with us as we work out any bugs in the system. The service includes an app for iPhone and Android devices.

Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher. In high school I participated in the L.E.A.D. program and then moved on to volunteer at Head Start while I earned a degree in education at Grand Valley State University.
