"The Honor Code is the school's 'secret sauce.' It's what makes Pingry more than just another prep school with an admittedly gorgeous campus. . . students are trusted to make important decisions on their own while being given the tools and incentives to make the right decisions. It's on you; there's nobody watching you."
This year, students in all grades participated, with some activities taking place on the Pottersville Campus in addition to trips off campus to assist organizations in central New Jersey. Pingry welcomes seven new members to its Board of Trustees for the 2021-22 school year.

“Although much has changed at Pingry since our school days, things like the Honor Code and striving for academic excellence remain as important as ever. My love of Pingry has kept me an active volunteer for many years.” —Jan Kennedy '59

The Pingry School’s enrollment process, structured to craft and maintain a community of involved students, enables the School to offer excellent programs across the spectrum of academics and extracurricular activities. Without students’ full participation—both inside the classroom and out—Pingry loses the very dynamic nature of its student body that it so carefully seeks to achieve. Our Honor Code requires that “ {Students} should act as responsible members of the community, working for the common good rather than solely for personal advantage.”
Accordingly, it is Pingry’s expectation that students will participate in ways that advantage the community. When students have distinguished themselves through a specific talent or skill, and/or if students participate outside of Pingry at a high level in an activity currently offered at Pingry, it is the expectation and requirement of the School that these students will participate in that activity while enrolled in the Upper School.
