As of November 20, 2014 the PowerSchool Parent Portal is available for middle school and high school parents. Student success is a shared responsibility and parent engagement is a key factor in that success. In an effort to help you become more engaged, we are providing you with a new tool, the PowerSchool Parent Portal.
The Stamford Public Schools has published a variety of materials in both English and Spanish to help guide parents and guardians through the process of setting up a PowerSchool Parent Portal account. Please refer to the materials as needed.
A quick reference guide will be sent home with all students during the first days of school. The PowerSchool Parent Portal is now available for Apple iOS and Android users. Once parents have created their Parent Portal account online, the same username and password will allow access to student grades and attendance using the mobile app.
Access to PowerParent allows the parents of middle and highschool students to keep track of grades and attendance. It also provides access to teacher comments and the ability to recieve e-mail updates regarding your childs progress. Parents are provided with a logon account in the beginning of the year on back to school night.
It is usually your email address. It is not the username you used to sign in to the PowerSchool SIS portal. The PowerSchool ID is your new Unified Classroom username. It is usually your email address.
PowerSchool offers a Parent Single Sign-On to the Parent Portal where parents can have access to all of their children's information in one place in one account.

Your student's Access ID and password is generated and administered by your school district to protect your student's information. If you have not received an Access ID and password, we would suggest contacting your school district directly to receive them.
Go to the Web Address (URL) for the class are invited to join. Enter your Invitation code in the box provided and click next. On the next page, click the Student button to create a student account. Note: If you already have a PowerSchool Learning account, you can sign in on this page to be added to the class.

Parents are provided with a logon account in the beginning of the year on back to school night. If you should lose this information or if you are concerned that your account may be compromised, please visit the main office of your childs school.
The PowerSchool Parent Portal allows parents, guardians, and other appropriate individuals to view information contained in the ACPS PowerSchool student information system (SIS). Some of the types of information available through this portal are: school announcements, attendance, grades (current and historical), and schedules. The portal will also be used by parents and students to manage course requests for middle and high school.
You can use the Help link in the top right corner to access online help resources.
ACPS recommends that you use one of the following browsers Internet Explorer (version 8 or later), Firefox (version 3.6 or later), or Safari (version 4 or later). Other browsers may work, but are not officially supported.
Multiple individuals can create accounts that the same student ( e.g. each parent could have their own portal account). If other individuals wish to create their own accounts for a student, they will need to use the same Access Key.
You can create your account with one Access Key and add other students at a later date when you receive additional Access Keys. Anyone with a student’s Access Key can access that student’s information through the portal, so protect the Access Key information as you would protect other confidential information.
You must have an Access Key to create a portal account. Access Keys consist of an Access ID and an Access Password. Schools distribute Access Keys to parents, so if you need your student’s portal Access Key, please contact your student’s school.
