What is the PowerSchool Parent Portal?

The Stratford Public School System is excited to be utilizing one of the features available through our District’s Student Information System called the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The portal provides parents with the privilege of accessing student information records of their children through a secure Internet connection.

What does Stratford public school system do with PowerSchool Parent Portal?

The Stratford Public School System reserves the right to monitor, inspect, copy, review and store at any time, and without prior notice, any and all usage of the PowerSchool Parent Portal and any and all information transmitted or received in connection with such usage.

How do I Find my Student's Information in PowerSchool?

Follow the directions to receive an email with your User Name and Password. Each of the icons pictured at the top of the main PowerSchool screen will bring you to a different page that contains information about your student. Anything blue on a screen can be clicked and will link you to additional information.

How do I create a PowerSchool ID?

Start the process of creating a PowerSchool ID by starting in your PowerSchool SIS. Contact your administrator if you need the address of your PowerSchool SIS.

Account Preferences

The Account Preferences page provides you with the ability to manage your parent account information, including your name, user name, password, and email address. In addition, you can add any and all students for whom you have legal and parental rights to your account in order to view their information by way of your account

School announcements will be posted here such as upcoming events. (Notices will still be sent home.)

Email Notifications

To sign up for automatic email reports. Select what information you would like to receive, when you want it sent and what email addresses you would like the reports to be sent to. To email your student’s teacher, simply click on their name (in blue) on any of the screens.

Grade History

Final grades for previous marking periods. By clicking on the final grade you will see any assignments, tests etc. that made up that grade. (May not be available.)

Grades and Attendance

Grades and attendance for the year. Detailed attendance for the last week and current week are shown – by clicking on the total number of absences it will give you a detailed description of each absence (excused, unexcused, tardy, etc.). By clicking on a current grade you will be connected to any assignments, tests etc.

School Info

Each page that you visit can be printed by clicking on the (Print Page) icon in the upper right-hand corner of each screen. This will bring you to a printer-friendly page with a little description of the information on that page.
