The Preuss School UC San Diego is a unique charter middle and high school for low-income scholars who strive to become the first in their families to graduate from college. Located on the UC San Diego campus, nearly 100% of graduates of The Preuss School go on to higher education.

School Safety Updates

Safety remains our top priority as we resume in-person learning. Our school follows health guidelines established by the University of California, which include masking indoors for all, daily symptom and exposure screening, as well as COVID-19 testing and vaccination.

Mural Debut

A new series of murals depicting powerful narratives have transformed The Preuss School plaza. High school students in Studio I and II art classes designed and painted more than a dozen murals, collectively titled "We the People, I Am Preuss." The works tell stories of hope, opportunity and perseverance.
