Is prime time available on Wednesdays?

What is Primetime San Diego Unified?

San Diego Unified School District’s (SDUSD) Extended Learning Opportunities Department administers the PrimeTime Extended Day Program (PrimeTime) to elementary and middle school students. PrimeTime is free to all participating families and operates before and/or after school programs every regular school day.

What are the requirements to apply for Primetime?

Your child (ren) must be enrolled during the regular school day at the school to which you are applying for PrimeTime, this also applies to families with Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) children.

How many participants are required for prime time?

A minimum of 15 participants are required to have a program at your child’s school. At Prime Time children have an opportunity to participate in sports, games, arts and crafts and special events. Homework time is also offered for children who wish to complete their homework before they go home.

What is prime time in North Carolina?

Prime Time has been a trusted child care provider for thousands of families for 31 years and is a North Carolina Division of Child Care Development 3-star licensed program. Parents can spend their afternoons worry-free knowing that their child is in a safe facility. Prime Time has the potential to offer before and after school care at all Cumberland County elementary schools. A minimum of 15 participants are required to have a program at your child’s school. Can parents contact student assignment?

Parents can contact Student Assignment if their school is not offered and they want to apply for a volunteer transfer. After the transition to Plan A, Prime Time will be at the proposed locations. See below under Prime Time Locations.

What is Primetime in San Diego?

Due to COVID-19 pandemic the program schedule may be modified for the 2021-22 school year. Students are to attend the program every day for the full range of hours offered. Parents/guardians can feel comfortable knowing their child (ren) is receiving academic support, and also interacting with peers in a physically and emotionally safe environment. The PrimeTime team is a collaboration among San Diego Unified School District Extended Learning Opportunities staff, PrimeTime Partner organizations, and other SDUSD departments, programs and individuals.

When will Primetime be available in 2021?

An application must be completed for each child applying for PrimeTime. This year's application will be available online beginning Monday, March 1, 2021, at 6:00 a.m. (Pacific Standard Time). An email address and internet access will be required to create an account to complete an application.

Can you have a child on a wait list on PrimeTime?

Once PrimeTime has reached its capacity, children not accepted for participation will be placed on a wait list, in the same order of priority, and will be accepted as space becomes available. Parents/guardians may choose to have their child attend either the before school and/or after school programs, if applicable.
