Romeo High School provides a comprehensive academic curriculum for more than 1,700 students in grades 9-12, including College Prep, Advanced Placement, Independent Study, Vocational, Technical, and Mentor programs. Parents and family can play many roles in sports: coach, fan, motivator, role model or critic. Studies have shown that family members may influence an athlete’s involvement and achievement in sports more than coaches.
Parents and athletes need to manage their SportsEngine accounts to ensure they get the most out of their Romeo FC experience during each sporting season. With their accounts properly configured, athletes and their families will receive communications according to their preferences and be able to complete registrations more efficiently.
Keep connected to your team (s). Get schedules and team updates for every athlete in the house, plus a way to message other members on your team and a way to give coaches a heads up about practice. Enjoy unlimited access to scores & stats, photo/video sharing, and more.
In many instances, more than one parent or guardian needs to be in the loop with a child's sports life. Using the mobile app, you can add additional guardians to an account. Guardians can 1) View games and events 2) RSVP to games and events 3) Send and receive messages to coaches and team members 4) participate in team chat
The time for the BOE Meeting on Monday (2-28) has been changed to begin at 5:00 p.m., instead of 6:00 p.m.
If you see or hear something that doesn't seem right, you can submit a tip to OK2SAY. OK2SAY allows anyone to confidentially report tips on criminal activities or potential harm directed at Michigan students, school employees, or schools.
ABSENTEE CALLS/NOTES. All Cohorts: If your child is going to be absent, please remember to call the school attendance line at 586-281-2150 before 9:30 a.m .
A snack should be simple and should take no more than 5 minutes for a child to eat. Fruit, veggies, cheese sticks, and goldfish are examples of a few recommended snacks. Be aware of restrictions due to food allergies in your child's classroom (the teacher will communicate those with you).
Washington is unable to accept SACC registration forms. Early Childhood Services. Students may not be dropped off at school prior to 8:45 a.m. Should your schedule need a drop off time prior to 8:45 a.m., please contact the Early Childhood Department regarding SACC.
Beginning January 11, 2021, elementary classroom teachers will be taking attendance twice daily - once at student arrival and once after 12:00pm. Students need to be present at both attendance periods to be considered present for the full day of school. This is the procedure for all elementary school students, both those attending in-person days and online.
Students do go outside to play during the winter months. Please make sure to send your child with the appropriate items to play outside during the cold months and/or snow. Students MUST be wearing boots and snow pants to play in the snow. Please make sure ALL ITEMS are labeled with student's name.
Any medication, whether sold over the counter or dispensed by a pharmacist, must be brought to the office by the parent/guardian. Students may NOT bring medication (s) to school.
If you are inviting a small group of students, please contact those families outside of the school day. TOYS. Toys are not allowed to be brought to Washington. Toys are a distraction and cause a variety of problems when brought to school.
