The Parent Portal is a part of Online Scout Manager (OSM) which is used by most Scout Groups in the UK. The system has been designed from the start to be as secure as possible – and uses the same encryption and security methods as major banks and other secure websites.

OSM Parent Portal allows parents to view the current term's programme, view and edit personal details, track badge progress, view emails sent from OSM, communicate between parents and leaders, and even signing up for events. Please note that not all features will be available and may depend on the section you are with.

You should see your Scout on your dashboard. If you have never logged into my. scouting before go to http://my.scouting.org and create an account. Then use the credentials (userID and password) you create there to login to http://scoutbook.com.
Your PID number is your registration number in BSA. You may not even know you have such a number, but you do. If you have your BSA membership card, you'll find the number there. Even though it says "required", this is in the area marked "For council use only," so you don't have to fill it in.

The only way I know of to get the actual date is to contact your council registrar and ask if they can dig it up. You'd also need to check if they were a Lion. There should be a way to look up a scout's BSA ID and determine the date that it was issued.
