Will SDSU Bill Me for basic tuition?

As explained above, SDSU is a prepay campus and will not bill for Basic Tuition. If you do not qualify for a Financial Aid Fee Postponement you are responsible for paying Basic Tuition (or enrolling in the Installment Plan) each term before your registration date. The Fall 2021 fee payment deadline for new students is July 1, 2021.

Who is responsible for paying tuition and fees at SDSU?

You may request billing to a third party sponsor/agency for Tuition and Fees. However, as a student enrolled at SDSU, you are ultimately responsible for paying all balances owed. This includes balances defaulted by your sponsor.

What is a parent authorized user account?

*The first field, "Parent or Authorized User Account", is referring to a username for the account. This username must be unique; usernames such as "mom" or "dad" have already been claimed.

Does SDSU pay for tuition?

Can a parent account be used to pay SDSU bills?

For a student's information to be disclosed to anyone, the student must authorize the individual. If someone other than the student will be paying the bills, a Parent Account may be created which will allow the individual to make payments to SDSU on the student's behalf.

Is SDSU early registration?

SDSU has an early registration timeline for continuing students. Because we are a prepaid campus, you will have to address Tuition & Fees again before your first semester at SDSU ends.

Current Students

If you are a continuing student, You will use my.SDSU for Fall 2022 course registration, financial aid, and student accounts and charges. Access to my.SDSU for current SDSU students will be made available in the Spring 2022 semester, starting with current students who applied for financial aid.

1098-T Forms Now Available Online

1098-T forms are available online. Simply log in to your Online Student Account and on the main screen look for the 1098-T section. There will be a link for your to view and download the current 2021 form (in addition to prior year forms). Note: 1098-T cannot be accessed from a parent account.

Spring 2022 Class Schedule & Fee Payment

The Spring 2022 class schedule was published on October 4, 2021. Continuing students will be able to view their fee payment date in WebPortal at this time. As a reminder, students will not be able to register for courses unless Basic Tuition & Fees has been paid or postponed by Financial Aid .

American Rescue Plan (HEERF III) - August 2021

We Have a New Virtual Assistant!

Student Account Services has a implemented a Chat Bot (virtual assistant) to assist in answering basic student finance questions. To utilize the Chat Bot click on the red chat bubble in the lower corner of the screen to ask your questions. Please be patient as the Chat Bot is still learning.

The Year At A Glance: Registration & Finances

Student Involvement & Representation Fee (SIRF) Information

SIRF is a optional $2 fee assessed twice a year (Fall and Spring semesters) to all California State University (CSU) students in order to fund the California State Student Association.

  • The most substantial costs associated with attending SDSU are Tuition & Fees and on-campus Housing & Meal Plan fees.
