What is the parent portal for students?

Parent Portal The MyUSDStudent Portal (formerly the Parent Portal) allows parents to conduct business on behalf of their student, view their student's records and get updates. With authorization from their student, parents can see posted grades, academic schedules and financial aid information.

Can a parent access my student's personal information?

In compliance with federal educational privacy laws, a parent may only access this information with their student's permission, and only the student who creates "Parent Guest Access" may modify authorizations.

How can a non-custodial parent contact financial aid?

Students must sign a Financial Aid Release of Information for the non-custodial parent to speak with Financial Aid. Students (the account manager) may authorize parent (s) and/or guardian access to view specific student information within their own portal. For Instructions: click here.

Proxy Access

The assigned Proxy will be able to view student information such as mid-term grades; final grades; student class schedule; student account information; financial aid information.

Passphrase (FERPA)

FERPA rules apply and the Passphrase does not permit the Financial Aid Office to disclose FAFSA information to non-custodial parents. Students must sign a Financial Aid Release of Information for the non-custodial parent to speak with Financial Aid.
