We know the most important things these students will learn in our schools is who they are as a learner, how they learn and where they want to go as they move through their career at SLP and beyond. For this year's Kindergarteners, that learning started at Kinder Camp before the school year began. The goal? To set each student up for K-12 success starting day one.
With 1,200 student submissions and 217 submissions, the first Panther Pride Sweepstakes was a success. The event allowed the community to engage with the Panther Foundation, learn about the district and provide funds for the schools.
The district is well-positioned for the future as a result of strong fiscal management from the school board and district administration.
The free or reduced-priced meal application and meal eligibility release form will be available in July and mailed to all student's homes in August.
As a school district, we are implementing new procedures to recognize birthdays while promoting a healthy school environment.
Every student is assigned a key pad number once enrolled in the school district. This number allows the student to access his/her meal account and remains the same during their entire duration in Spring Lake Park Schools.

Children who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals may qualify for Minnesota Health Care Programs. Your child’s status for school meals may be shared with Minnesota Health Care Programs unless you tell us not to share your information by checking the box in Step 5 of the application. You are not required to share information for this purpose and your decision will not affect approval for school meal benefits.
There are many students in the Spring Lake Park schools who have severe allergies to tree nuts, peanuts, peanut butter, and/or products that contain nuts. Accidental ingestion or even touching a tiny trace of a nut may cause a potential fatal reaction for some students.
