Most people apply for their child’s Social Security number at birth, usually at the hospital. When the time comes for your child’s first job, the number is already in place. For more information on getting your child a Social Security number and card, check out Social Security Numbers for Children.
- The registration process requires the student's N number. NOT the student's PIN number. When entering the student's N number, do not enter the N or leading zero's. For instructions on registering as a new user on the Family Access portal (click here).
With your free, personal my Social Security account, you can receive personalized estimates of future benefits based on your real earnings, see your latest Statement, and review your earnings history. It even makes it easy to request a replacement Social Security Card or check the status of an application, from anywhere! Create an Account.
Log in to the Veracross Parent Portal to access password-protected information such as the S-Book directory, your child's schedules and report cards, your VC Pay billing account, Magnus Health medical forms, household profile update form, school handbooks and forms, and more.
To order an SSA license plate, complete and mail the Special Organization Plate application with a $50 check payable to SSA to: Shady Side Academy, Att n: Annamarie Turner, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
Log in to Veracross to access the S-Book via your web browser. To access the S-Book through the Shady Side app, tap Account, enter your Veracross credentials and click Remember Me (Note: returning parents must update their app login credentials to their new Veracross credentials.)
