The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) test results for the 2021-22 school year will soon be available to view online in the State of Texas Student Assessment Portal, which can be found at https://www.texasassessment.gov/.
When parents visit www.texasassessment.com, they can click on the link “Find My Access Code” located at the bottom of the purple login box. After entering their child's first name, date of birth and social security or “S” number, they will be provided an Access Code so they can login into the portal.
1) Login to the Texas Assessment Management System's portal at TexasAssessment.gov. 2) Enter the student's six-character Unique Student Access Code that appears on their most recent STAAR Report Card. The code must be entered exactly as it appears. Then, enter the student's date of birth.
STAAR scores will be available online for parents to view starting June 12th. Results will be mailed home when the school receives them. If you have your student's access code, enter the code and your child's birth date, then click “log in to student portal” to view scores.
An access code is a series of numbers and/or letters that allow access to a particular system. An access code may be a password, although passwords are generally used in conjunction with usernames.

What happens if a student fails STAAR? Schools must offer accelerated instruction to students who don't pass the STAAR or end-of-course exams. The additional help could include assigning a student to an experienced teacher's classroom or delivering extra tutoring during the next school year or in the summer.
Students in grades 3-8 and high school take the STAAR exam. STAAR stands for the State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness. In all grades, the assessments are designed to test students on the state standards that are required to be taught in public school.
The passing standard for STAAR assessments is Approaches Grade Level. A student who scores at or above this level has passed the STAAR test, but a student who scores within Did Not Meet Grade Level has not passed.
On June 12th, parents can access their child's STAAR results and a suite of other resources to support summer learning at home by visiting TexasAssessment.gov. Your district will also receive paper copies of the STAAR Report Card (SRC) to distribute to parents over the summer.

The test was canceled in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, and last year the test was still administered but was not used for accountability purposes. The 2022 testing marks the return of accountability scores for schools based on results.
