We help even the most hesitant swimmers become accustomed to – even excited about – being in the water. SwimJim’s approach to swim lessons and aquatic education focuses on the basics, gradually adding more advanced coordination and exercises as the student progresses.
SwimJim and SwimJim Texas are proud to offer the following complimentary 20-minute informational sessions on drowning prevention and water safety. These sessions are taught by our experienced, professional teaching staff.
SwimJim charges tuition on a monthly basis. On the first of each month, we automatically debit a credit or debit card just like a health club or other leisure facility. Once you choose a class for your child, you keep that spot automatically. If you need to change days or times, our team will help you.
Children must have completed SwimBabies or a similar program. Teaching your child swimming safety is the primary goal of this class. They learn positive buoyancy and breath control to achieve comfort in the water. Your child learns to navigate through the water using elementary locomotion and propulsion.

This fun, structured class facilitates the learning process through movement, sound, and tactile stimulation. The student/teacher ratio is 6 to 1.
SwimJim’s approach to swim lessons and aquatic education focuses on the basics, gradually adding more advanced coordination and exercises as the student progresses. Students first learn how their body moves in water, how to keep out unwanted water while breathing efficiently, and how to react to changes in water pressure, temperature and depth.
Rates will vary depending upon how many days are offered in any given month. SwimJim does not charge for holidays that we are closed. All automatic debits will be charged at the beginning of every month for the next month’s tuition.
Our first swimming lessons involve developing effective habits and techniques in the water. Some of the skills we teach are safety skills such as back float, breath control, and how to react in a water emergency.
SwimJim offers group, private, and, semi-private classes for our students. To busy to get to an off-site pool, no worries, we do “house calls” if you would prefer to receive swimming lessons in your own pool.
