In accordance with IDEA regulations, the Tattnall County School system seeks to ensure that all disabled students (ages birth-21) who are in need of special education within its jurisdiction are identified, located, and evaluated, including those who are homeless, wards of the State, highly mobile, incarcerated, or are attending private school and home school. Final identification of students with disabilities and programming for such students occurs only after an appropriate evaluation and a determination by a Multidisciplinary Place Team.

All of information on this site consists of data and other information which the Department already collects and in most cases published in some existing form, or which is collected and published by another department within state government such as the Department of Audits and Accounts. HB 139 required the centralization of this information into a single web site, which is the purpose of this new reporting system
The Tattnall County Board of Education will be vacating the three elementary facilities - Glennville Elementary School, Reidsville Elementary School, and Collins Elementary School - by August of 2022. Students without a completed Form #4400 on file more than 90 days after the start of school will be asked to participate in scoliosis screening during a school screening event. school year.

The Tattnall County School System will be offering only face-to-face instruction for the 2021-2022 school year. We are excited to welcome our students back into our classrooms. General student supplies will be provided by CARES funding.
The annual Georgia Student Health Survey, Georgia Parent Survey and the Georgia School Personnel Survey opens November 8, 2021 - March 11, 2022. Survey participation is voluntary this year but we STRONGLY encourage participation to maintain an accurate account of the supports students need at this time.

In preparation of the 2021-2022 school year, CARES funding will be used to purchase "Back to School" general supplies for all students. Parents will be asked to provide only personal items such as bookbags, calculators, etc. This is an effort to relieve some of the hardship caused by COVID-19 on our families and communities.

Our Transportation Center is located adjacent to the Tattnall County High School campus. The transportation center (aka Bus Barn) along with the school office provide detailed information on bus routes, drivers, and pickup points.
Georgia’s Dual Enrollment program allows high school students (9th-12th grade) to earn college credit while working on their high school diploma. The Dual Enrollment program includes provisions to help remove some of the financial barriers that may prevent students from participating in a dual enrollment program.
