Yes, you should keep your card in case your child qualifies for future P-EBT program benefits. Your card will be reloaded as long as the program continues, and your child qualifies.
Beginning March 4, 2022, retroactive P-EBT benefits will be added onto cards for eligible children who missed benefits during the 2020-2021 school year. This will directly impact students who filled out a free or reduced-price meal application later in the year.
Please call 1-888-997-9444 to activate the card. To activate the card, you will need the last four (4) numbers on the P-EBT card. When it asks for the last four (4) digits of the child's social security number, use 0000 and date of birth for the child identified on the card.
Alabama families will receive two more rounds of P-EBT payments to cover the 2021-2022 school year and upcoming summer months. Tennessee will provide emergency SNAP benefits in addition to the amount you already receive, related to the outbreak of COVID-19. Current SNAP households will receive an increase in their SNAP allotments for November 2021.
All eligible children will receive a standard summer P-EBT benefit of $375, which will be reloaded on existing P-EBT 2.0 cards in December 2021.
Since last year, all SNAP (food stamps) households have been receiving the emergency maximum allotment of support (see chart below). This benefit will continue through April 2021.
