What system does Troy School District use?

The Troy School District uses PowerSchool, a Student Information System (SIS). Our SIS allows staff, students and parents access to student scheduling, attendance, emergency/medical and health management, registration, and more.

What is Parent Portal?

Parent Portal is a online tool created for you to monitor your child’s academic progress and attendance record, each six weeks. The Parent Portal Mobile site is now available for you to monitor your child directly from your mobile device.

Why is my child's schedule listed incorrectly in the portal?

My child's schedule is listed incorrectly in the portal. If your child recently moved from one building to another during the school year, the parent account may not update as quickly as the child's account. Please contact your school's Technology Chairperson or email pssupport@troy.k12.mi.us

What is Troy City School District?

What is the privacy policy of the Board of Education?

In accordance with Board policy and the law, parental consent is required for student participation in any survey that reveals information on certain types of personal behavior or political beliefs. It is further the policy of the Board not to collect, disclose, or use personal information gathered from students for the purpose of marketing or selling that information or providing it to others for that purpose, as defined by Board policy. Parents also have a right to inspect any instructional material and will be notified of and provided an opportunity to opt their child out of certain non-emergency physical exams or screenings. Policy 5550 is available in the Policy Manual located on our website at www.troycsd.org/boe.

What is positive parental involvement?

Parent Involvement. Positive parental involvement is essential to student achievement. The District has developed programs, activities and procedures that encourage and support the participation of parents and students eligible for Title I services in all aspects of their child’s education.

Does Troy City School District have free breakfast?

Troy City School District provides all students with free breakfast and lunch.

Will Troy CSD give free meals in 2021?

2021-2022 Household Income Eligibility Form – All Troy CSD students will receive free meals regardless of income, but we ask that this form be completed annually.

Do kindergarten students have to have a parent at pick up and drop off?

Permission to ride a different bus must be obtained in advance and approved by the Principal. Kindergarten students are required to have a parent/guardian at pick up and drop off locations. (Policy 8410 and 8410R)

When are PowerSchool report cards posted?

Report cards are posted to the PowerSchool Parent Portal at the end of every marking period.

HOW TO I GET THE ACCESS CODE?

Kindergarten families and students registering over the summer will receive an email containing instructions to setup your account in August.

When do you need to clear cache on PowerSchool?

If you have not logged onto PowerSchool since Dec. 23, 2019, you may need to clear your browser's cache if you are having difficulty logging on.

Do all building webpages have a link to PS?

Can a parent's account update if a child moves?

Tryout Card and Requirements for Sports

Effective immediately, all physicals and paperwork must be turned into the athletic office prior to tryouts/practices. Eligibility requirements for sports will now be checked before an athlete can participate.
