VCU is a good school, depending on what you want to major in. It can feel a little alienating if you are a student of color, but overall the experience has been a good one. The institution itself at a higher level does not care for minority groups nor does it attempt to even try.

Virginia Commonwealth University has named Naomi E. Boyd, an associate dean at West Virginia University, as the dean of its School of Business. Boyd replaces Ed Grier, who left in the summer for Santa Clara University in California. Doug Pugh is currently serving as interim dean. Boyd starts July 1.

With MyChart, you can view test results and request medical records as soon as they become available, rather than waiting for a phone call or letter from your provider.
A nonrefundable convenience fee of 2.85% (minimum $3) is charged for all credit/debit card payments. According to credit card regulations, VCU must refund any credit card overpayments back to the credit card account. All other overpayments will be refunded to the student.
The university reserves the right to decline payment from a non-enrolled student who does not owe a balance to VCU. Personal payments that exceed the student's charges are not encouraged. Total personal payments for the semester that exceed the enrolled student's charges by more than $5,000 may not be refunded to the student.
Students may assign authorized users on the billing and payment website. Authorized users will receive emails when the eStatements are available and can view eStatements and make online payments on behalf of the student.
Electronic payment. VCU accepts domestic and international wire transfers or ACH payments. Funds should not exceed the total semester charges on the student account. Overpayments exceeding $5,000 will not be refunded to the student and will be returned to the originator of the payment.
