The Parent Portal is an important element of Power School, our student management software program. The Parent Portal allows parents and their sons/daughters to access information regarding grades, attendance, school announcements, and student demographic information. To gain the most from the parent portal, please keep in mind the following:
The Wallingford Public Schools are always growing and adapting to changing times. The gSuite links us together even more closely as we try to communicate between and among Administrators, Teachers, Students, and Parents.
Parents/Guardians will create their own usernames and passwords. User names and passwords are confidential and should not be shared with others. Upon verification that a Parent Student Portal username or password has been compromised, portal access through that account will be immediately disabled by the designated school personnel.
The PowerSchool portal is an online application that provides students and parents access to student grades and attendance information and also serves to house school forms for completion. Access to the portal, which can be found at:
Visit the parent portal no more than once a week. Teachers update student assessment data on a weekly basis. (Assessment data may include homework, lab reports, projects, quizzes, and tests depending on the subject area.)
The Parent/Student Portal service is not meant to replace direct communication between students, parents, teachers, and/or other school staff members. If a parent/guardian has questions about any of the information viewed via the portal, those questions should be discussed with the student and/or teacher.
Your username and password are the same as your WSSD computer login. When you change your WSSD network credentials, your PowerSchool password will automatically change as well (they are linked).
Enrollment for WSSD's Virtual School is open through Friday, July 30th. If you are interested in this option for the fall, read more and enroll at wssd.org/virtualschool. If you have any questions, please email virtualschool@wssd.org . Comments (-1)
