The WVU Parent/Guest Portal allows a University student to grant a third-party access to his or her records. Information that is protected from disclosure pursuant to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), such as grades, financial aid details, and student account/billing information is maintained in a secure online environment.
From there, go to students.wvu.edu and enter the WVU Portal where you can access your Mountaineer Information Xpress (MIX) email and complete the first step required to enroll at WVU — paying your academic deposit . You will use WVU Portal to access STAR, DegreeWorks and eCampus — all important online programs.
The High School ACCESS Early College Program enables your son or daughter to reach their academic goals quicker and cheaper by taking West Virginia University courses at a reduced tuition while they are still in high school. We want diverse and motivated students from all over the country to begin their exciting journeys with WVU HS ACCESS.
Select the STAR tab from portal.wvu.edu and enter your Login credentials. Once in STAR, click STAR Information System Login if you aren't taken directly to your STAR account. If the system prompts you to enter your Login credentials, enter them. Once you see the main menu, click Parent/Guest Portal at the bottom of the page.
The high school tuition for each academic term is only $25 per credit hour for ALL students. There is never an application fee when you apply to the High School ACCESS program at WVU.
Students may grant permission to a parent or guest to access this information and make payments through this portal. You can earn anywhere between 3 and 24 hours of college credit, online or in your high school. WVU holds regional and many specialized accreditations.
August 15 — WVU begins admitting students for the following year's class. You should receive your admissions decision 2-3 weeks after we receive your application, transcript and test scores. If you are admitted, your WVU email address will be included in your admit packet.
You will use WVU Portal to access STAR, DegreeWorks and eCampus — all important online programs. Through the Portal, you can send and receive email, pay the academic deposit, pay tuition and fees and check your grades.
