Today at a special meeting, Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack administered the oath of office to replacement trustee Chad Jones. Willis ISD Board of Trustees have selected Chad Jones to fill board position 7, vacated by long-time Trustee Rebecca Broussard.
Broussard gave notice of resignation at the end of the regular school board meeting on May 11. In a special meeting held on May 31, Willis ISD board members (excluding Broussard) met to accept Broussard’s resignation effective June 2; and to discuss, deliberate and interview candidates to fill the vacant board position.

Willis ISD is happy to announce that a new principal for Turner Elementary has been named. Lea Ann Boswell comes to us from Deer Park ISD where she served as principal of Fairmont Elementary for the last nine years. Additionally, Brad Mansfield has been tapped as Executive Director of the Student Services department.
Susan Fossler, currently assistant principal at Parmley Elementary, has been promoted to Principal of CC Hardy Elementary for the 2021-22 school year. Fossler joined WISD in 2017 as a counselor before being named AP the following year.
Willis ISD Child Nutrition department will be offering free summer meals for children in our community. Free meals are available to students attending WISD summer programs and all children ages 18 and under. Click headline to learn more.
