The MyWIChildCare Parent Portal is an online system available to parents receiving Wisconsin Shares to help them manage their child care subsidy needs. The Parent Portal is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is mobile-friendly.
Parents participating in Wisconsin Shares will be referred for child support services for their biological or adopted children. Parents must cooperate with the child support agency in establishing legal paternity for their child (ren) and in collecting child support from any absent parent.
You (parents) can log in to the Parent Portal using your ACCESS account user ID and password . The Parent Portal is updated immediately when changes are made to an authorization, so your information is always current. Confirm the correct provider and location is listed.
Call the number on your EBT card to activate it and establish a PIN, just like setting up a regular debit card. Your card will look like the image to the right.
If any individual ever requests your MyWIChildCare card and/or PIN information, do not provide it. Contact the Bureau of Program Integrity at DCFMBCHILDCAREFRAUD@wisconsin.gov (link sends email) to report the incident for investigation.
The Department of Children and Families (DCF) periodically sends letters to families about Wisconsin Shares and any updates or changes that are taking place. Read the letters below to learn the latest information about Wisconsin Shares.
A change in approved activity (schedule, paycheck, or loss of employment) A change in your school schedule (if you are using the Wisconsin Shares program for child care while you are in school) An increase in child support to more than $1,250/month.
Wisconsin Shares helps eligible families with the cost of quality child care while parents, including foster parents and kinship caregivers work, go to school and work, or engage in a job training activity.
Reporting Changes. After becoming eligible for Wisconsin Shares, it is important to notify your local income maintenance agency within 10 calendar days after changes occur, or you might receive too much – or not enough – subsidy funds. You must pay subsidy funds back if you receive too much.
This temporary increase is effective until June 30, 2021.

The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is available each year on October 1 for the following academic year (e.g., apply October 1, 2021, for the 2022–2023 school year). Students may apply online at fafsa.gov before or after they submit an application for admission.
