What information is available in the parent portal?

The Parent Portal provides information about a student's attendance, grades and progress for any student enrolled in grades K-12. As you will be accessing information about your student (s) in a new interface, please make use of the documents below to ease the transition.

What is parent portal?

Parent Portal helps you monitor your student's academic progress through the internet and is strictly offered to secondary students guardians. Sixth-grade student's Access ID and Access Password will be supplied at your student's Curriculum Night. Once your account is set-up, it will be available every year with the username and password you created.

When will school information be handed out?

Answer: At the beginning of the year, information will be handed out at registration or mailed to the student's home. If you are a new parent to the district, when you enroll your student, the school should provide you with your student's information.

What is the policy of the Blue Springs School District?

It is the policy of the Blue Springs School District to maintain a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination of its students and employees. The District prohibits any form of sexual harassment. Reports of such incidents should immediately be made to building administrators.

What is discipline action in Blue Springs?

Disciplinary action may include suspension, expulsion and referral to the appropriate authorities. 11. The Blue Springs School District will appropriately report and make available the record of student incidents to appropriate individuals, agencies, schools, and the police as required by law.

Blue Springs School District prohibits the use, possession, storage, distribution, sale, purchase, transmittal, transfer or obtaining of weapons on school property. No student may possess a weapon on school property at any time.

Is a school bus considered property?

The school bus is school district property. Any item or action not allowed at school is also not allowed on a school bus. Bus transportation may be permanently forfeited for certain serious or dangerous behaviors.

The Closet

The Closet is an outreach program for families of the Blue Springs School District. Our goal is to serve all families in need within the boundaries of the school district. Children, birth through grade twelve, may receive 5 pants, 7 shirts, a winter coat/jacket, new socks, shoes, hat/gloves and new underwear per session.
