It was a night of gratitude and celebration as the Wyandanch Union Free School District paid tribute to the board of education at the monthly school board meeting on Oct. 20. On Sept. 9, the district welcomed scholars to a new school year filled with exciting opportunities to learn and succeed.
The hallways of the Lafrancis Hardiman and Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary Schools in the Wyandanch Union Free School District were filled with festive decorations and the sounds of happy students as they took part in Polar Express Day.

The Wyandanch JROTC collected and donated hundreds of food and clothing items for those in need this holiday season. The group of JROTC members came together to collect winter clothing, non-perishable food items and other household items which were then donated to the Gerald J. Ryan Outreach Center in Wyandanch.
